Week of August 22, 2003 Continued
So....our studio....
We tried hanging one of the microphones from the ceiling
fan at first...and that didn't
work as well as we hoped. But B figured it all out--we
ended up using a ladder. Ladders can be so handy!
Our studio is very deluxe and state of art! (At least to
us it is!)
It's actually a spare bedroom at B's house. This week we
actually just started setting up equipment and logistics
of our fabulous recording studio. B was really at the
helm of this. I do not claim to know anything about it.
We also decided which editing software we would use--and
we're both trying to learn it, or at least comprehend it
on some elementary level. I'd like to say it's easy so
far...but I'd be lying. Besides.....I just like to play
the guitar and write songs. I don't understand the
"tech-y" aspect of it all. So anything that goes wrong
in that department we'll blame on B. If my songs
suck....and my voice sucks.....well--we know who to
blame that on! And I am sure many of you will let me
know. You are not the "shy" crowd when it comes to your
displeasure!

He's not real frustrated at this point--thank heavens
he's good natured.
B's spare bedroom aka: Studio One
We actually got things functioning and did a trial
recording. It worked!!
Now if ONLY we had air conditioning in our swanky
studio!! Look at me....
I'm like sweaty Betty!!!
Me--needing a really good deodorant.
So maybe sometime in the next week--we can really get
things moving!
