About
Me
Straight
from the corn fields of Indiana is where I'm
originally from. I now reside in the mountains of WNC.
It's beautiful here
and it certainly feels like home. However--my heart
belongs to the flat lands of Hoosier land where I was
born and raised. But location has nothing to do with
the spirit of music--and I for one am possessed with
the inner songs I hear daily with my soul. My muse
might be a couple I see on the street, a good friend
or maybe something in my own life. NO matter--it's
something I love to do and hope to continue.

Why My Guitar
is Named .....Ed
Silly as it may be--I named my guitar Ed--after my
favorite singer/songwriter Ed Kowalcyzk of the group
Live.
I've been a fan for as long as I can remember--and find
his lyrics to be truly amazing, original and from the
gut! None of that formulaic junk!
Very moving stuff!
I've been a huge music fan all my life. Of course we ALL
love music...but for me it speaks volumes. If you can
touch someone with a song...with just a few minutes of
music and lyrics--then to me that's incredible.
Novelists and screenwriters have pages and pages to
grab you and connect with you. A songwriter doesn't.

Making of my First CD
Why do it? Why bother?
Especially with no formal guitar
lessons, voice lessons, no recording
expertise and certainly NO money!? Why not? It's all about putting your soul
into something you love and going for it. I'd rather do
it and regret it--then to have never done it at all!
My husband and kids are very supportive. It's kind of
become a running joke in our house. In the evenings when
I practice for a few minutes.... they all stop what
they're doing and listen. My kids dance and my husband
has a beer and chills out. It's fun. Then I'll take a
bow and say...."Thank you.....Good Night Asheville!"
